Principal El Koubi
Ms. El Koubi began her education career as an 8th grade English teacher in rural Louisiana. Ms. El Koubi served as the principal of Jackson Middle School and the bilingual principal of Myrtle Place Elementary, which transitioned to a full French Immersion program under her leadership.
Ms. El Koubi earned her Bachelor’s in French and Humanities from Houghton College and holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Louisiana State University, and a Master’s in Business Administration from Solvay Business School, Université Libre de Bruxelles.
Assistant Principal Alston
Mrs. Nokomis Alston believes that every student can learn and should have the opportunity to experience an excellent education.
Mrs. Alston is a dedicated leader who is grateful for the opportunity to serve the Westover Hills community and is very excited to be starting her first year as assistant principal at Westover Hills. Previously she served as assistant principal for 4 years at John Rolfe Middle School. Before becoming an assistant principal, she taught orchestra and chorus at John Rolfe Middle School for 12 years.
Mrs. Alston earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education in 2004 and her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership in 2011 from Virginia Commonwealth University.
